Mark Goodman
General Partner

Mark Goodman founded Terawatt Ventures in 2009.  Prior to Terawatt, Mark was co-founder of Brookline Venture Partners where his investments included NitroSecurity, Consumer United and Volicon.  Mark contributed to seven successful exits in as many years, enabling the firm to achieve competitive returns during historically challenging years for the venture capital industry.  Mark began his career at First Chicago (now part of CHASE), where he gained broad experience in corporate finance, capital markets and credit analysis.

Mark is on the Obama National Finance Committee and was appointed by President Obama to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council in 2010.  Mark holds a BA in Economics and Philosophy from Emory University, an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, and an MA and PhD in Philosophy from Boston College. 

Mark lives in Cambridge with his wife and three children.  In his spare time, he enjoys running, art and jazz.

Ken Levine
General Partner

Ken joined Terawatt as a General Partner in 2014, bringing his extensive experience in sales, investing and operations.

Ken was a key member of the team at Cabletron Systems, where he spent 15 years as executive vice president of sales. He led the company to $1.8B in revenue and helped generate over $5B in market value post IPO. Mark and Ken co-founded Brookline Ventures, which specialized in high-technology VC investments and generated positive returns during a historically challenging time for the venture capital asset class. Ken became the CEO of NitroSecurity, a Brookline Ventures portfolio company, and led the company to its successful acquisition by McAfee in 2011. As SVP at McAfee, Ken has been responsible for defining and executing the strategic direction for the McAfee security management business. Ken received his degree BS from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Prapti Mittal
Partner

In 2012 Prapti Mittal joined Terawatt Ventures. She is passionate about solving the world’s most critical challenges through innovation and entrepreneurship.

Before joining Terawatt, Prapti worked at the World Bank where she built robust quantitative frameworks to optimize drinking water and sanitation delivery models affecting millions of lives in rural India. Prapti began her career as an Environmental Engineer at URS Corporation, one of the largest global environmental consulting firms based in California.  While attending Harvard Business School, Prapti interned with several cleantech start-ups and VCs in the US and South Asia.

Prapti holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Punjab Engineering College (India), an MS in Civil and Environment Engineering from University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

She is passionate about providing education for at-risk students and serves on the Board of Friends of the Children Boston.  She is an aspiring long-distance runner and enjoys Indian classical music.
