Prapti Mittal

Principal

Prapti Mittal is a principal at Terawatt Ventures. She is passionate about solving the world’s most critical energy and resource challenges through innovation and entrepreneurship.

Before joining Terawatt, Prapti worked at the World Bank where she built robust quantitative frameworks to optimize drinking water and sanitation delivery models affecting millions of lives in rural India. Prapti began her career as an Environmental Engineer at URS Corporation, one of the largest global environmental consulting firms based in California. At URS, she advised several major U.S. oil and gas companies and utilities on environmental risk mitigation and clean energy initiatives. While attending Harvard Business School, Prapti interned with several cleantech start-ups and VCs in the US and South Asia, including General Catalyst Partners, the Global Environment Fund and HARA Software.

Prapti holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Punjab Engineering College (India), an MS in Civil and Environment Engineering from University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. In her spare time, she enjoys culinary tourism and music.
