Mark Goodman

Founder

Mark Goodman founded Terawatt Ventures in 2009. He brings a broad range of financial, operating and venture capital investment experience to his evaluation of investment opportunities and his partnership with portfolio company management teams.

Prior to Terawatt, Mark was co-founder of Brookline Venture Partners where his investments included NitroSecurity, Consumer United and Volicon. Mark contributed to seven successful exits in as many years, enabling the firm to achieve competitive returns during historically challenging years for the venture capital industry. Mark began his career at First Chicago (now part of CHASE), where he gained broad experience in corporate finance, capital markets and credit analysis.

Mark is on the Obama National Finance Committee and was appointed by President Obama to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council in 2010. He is a board observer at MC10 and currently serves on the board of directors at Volicon. Mark holds a BA in Economics and Philosophy from Emory University, an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, and an MA and PhD in Philosophy from Boston College. He taught philosophy and inter-disciplinary liberal arts courses at Boston College while a doctoral candidate and later as a Lecturer after completing his doctorate.

Mark lives in Cambridge with his wife and three children.  In his spare time, he enjoys running, art and jazz.
